Project Desription
Ben Laycock and Joe Algeri from Altus Planning came to me with a clear vision for how they wanted their new website to represent their business online. The goal was to create a professional, easy-to-navigate website that reflected the breadth of Altus Planning’s expertise while making complex information more accessible for clients.
One of the more interesting elements to rebuild was the services infographic on the homepage. The original semi-circle layout of icons and services worked visually, so rather than replacing the concept, I transformed it into an interactive feature that allows users to click directly through to the relevant service areas. This kept the visual impact of the original design while improving usability and navigation.
We also rethought the way content updates were handled. Instead of maintaining a traditional news section alongside LinkedIn, the website now pulls through a LinkedIn feed, reducing double-handling and making it easier for the team to keep the site current. Separate article and blog sections were then created for more permanent, evergreen content that users may want to return to over time.
The structure of the website was carefully planned to help users move easily between services, appeals, and appeals training, with clear pathways throughout the site. Features like expandable service toggles with an “open all” option also help present detailed information in a way that feels manageable rather than overwhelming.
The end result is a clean, polished website that balances professionalism with usability, helping Altus Planning showcase their expertise while making information easy to find and engage with.
*Please note, that as I give my customers full control of their site, changes may have been made to the original design.
