The Process
1. GETTING TO KNOW YOU | IDENTIFY GOALS
Most of the websites we build start with a chat over coffee – in person, or over the phone if preferred. We will guide you through the web design process, introduce you to WordPress and talk over website hosting and domain name options. We also take this time to get to know your business. This is an important step and will guide the shape your website takes from the first moment.
2. RESEARCH
Research is a web designer’s best friend. There is a lot we want to know. What is the competition doing? What makes your business unique? What are your customers looking for? Why should your customers choose you? How can we make you stand out from the crowd? What do we want your website to say about you? How do we make your website best represent your brand?
3. PLANNING AND EXECUTION
Next, it’s time to plan. Ideas start to come together about how your site will look and function. We work out what pages you need and how to display your content for maximum effect. Every little detail is considered: colour themes, fonts, images, effects… Each page is tested on multiple devices to make sure your site looks as good on a tablet and mobile as it does on a desktop or laptop. Links are checked, and every bit of code is tested to make sure that your site is functioning as it should.
4. REVIEW | REWRITE | REWORK
We offer unlimited revisions. Your website will not go live until you are absolutely happy with how it looks, feels and performs.
5. LAUNCH!!
Once your website is launched, you will be given a tutorial on how to edit and add pages.
If you prefer, we offer a complete after sales service and will be happy to provide support and update your website as required. How hands on you are after launch is completely up to you!
If you opt for hosting through Evolve Digital Solutions, you will be given access to the control panel (even if you don’t understand how it works, it is important to have!).
